Jian Ming listened as the rest of the names of the junior managers were called for Monday morning roll call. Of the ten junior managers at the television factory outside of Washington D.C., one was absent that day. That meant Ming and the other junior managers would have to work an hour overtime today, but it also meant that Ming and his colleagues would have less supervision from the factory chiefs because the junior managers would need to look after the missing coworker’s department.
This gave Ming the perfect opportunity to look for spare parts for his secret, and rather illegal supercomputer.
